How to vote

Election Day is Tuesday, November 3, 2026. Early voting runs October 19 through October 30. If you live in Travis County you can vote at any vote center in the county, not only the one closest to you.

The dates that matter

  1. Last day to register to vote

  2. Early voting begins

  3. Last day to apply for a ballot by mail

    The application must be received by this date, not postmarked.

  4. Early voting ends

  5. Election Day

    Travis County posts polling hours and locations closer to the election. Check the county page before you go.

Where to vote

Travis County uses countywide vote centers. In the county’s own words: “You may vote at any Vote Center in Travis County where the “Vote Here/Aquí” sign is displayed.”

The county publishes the list of early voting and Election Day locations, with hours, closer to the election. That list is the one to trust.

Am I registered?

You must be registered by Monday, October 5, 2026 to vote in this election. Check your status in a minute, and if you have moved since the last time you voted, update your address.

Voting by mail

You can vote by mail in Texas if you are:

  • 65 years of age or older on Election Day
  • Sick or disabled
  • Expected to give birth within three weeks before or after Election Day
  • Away from the county of residence on Election Day and during the early voting period
  • Confined in jail, but eligible to vote

Application received by Friday, October 23, 2026
